Alcatel Phones
Alcatel SA is a famous French company which developed its brand based on the outstanding characteristics. It is one of the leaders of the world market of telecommunications equipments.
The company Alcatel was founded in early 1898 in Alsace as a Compagnie Générale d’Electricité (CGE).The growth and the progress of the company with years was enormous. In April 2006, Alcatel announced about its decision of merging with its biggest competitor – the U.S. company Lucent Technologies which took place on 1 December 2006 and the company was renamed Alcatel-Lucent.
Alcatel operated and still goes on in more than 130 countries, providing comprehensive services in terms of equipment and software products for telecommunications. Alcatel is most widely known for its Alcatel Phones which are spread throughout the world and are working together with various mobile operators.
In addition,Alcatel also acquires the unit engaged in the development and manufacture of alarm systems and motion control equipment for railways. Another important division of Alcatel is Alcatel Space, which develops and produces low-Earth orbit and geostationary satellites.
The company is equipped with professionals of a high rank, which makes the possibility of making products which will be ideal both in its content and the appearance.
In 2004, the Department of Alcatel for the production of Alcatel Phones and similar branch of the Chinese company TCL formed a joint venture TCL & Alcatel Mobile Phones Limited (TAMP). 55% of the shares in this enterprise was TCL, 45% – Alcatel.
The production of Alcatel phones was moved to China. In 2005, TCL Alcatel bought out the remaining shares of the joint venture and entered into a license agreement for a period of 10 years. Company TAMP was renamed TCT Mobile Limited.
